Textile Industry Presentations
One of the first activities of the week was a series of presentations by local and guest students. Our students introduced the topic by focusing on the environmental consequences of the textile industry, particularly the effects of overconsumption and fast fashion.
Afterwards, the guest students from the partner countries presented the results of their own research. Each group explained how the textile industry impacts their home country, highlighting issues such as pollution, waste management, and the social challenges related to mass production and consumer habits.
This exchange of perspectives not only broadened our understanding of the problem on a European scale but also encouraged students to reflect on how interconnected our choices are. It created an open dialogue where everyone could learn from one another and consider possible solutions to reduce the negative impact of textile consumption.
