Cultural Program
The cultural program was designed to complement the morning sessions on textile pollution and overconsumption by offering students the opportunity to explore the unique environment and heritage of Ceuta in the afternoons. This balance between academic work and cultural discovery helped participants reflect on how sustainability is not only a global concern but also closely tied to the preservation of our immediate surroundings.
One of the highlights was a boat trip around the Desnarigado area, which revealed the richness of Ceuta’s coastline. From the sea, students could truly appreciate the natural beauty of our environment and the importance of protecting it from all forms of pollution.
The program also included visits to our historical heritage, such as the impressive Caliphal Gate, the San Felipe moat, reminders of Ceuta’s long and diverse history.
To complete the experience, we offered panoramic views of the city, where students could clearly see Ceuta’s unique position in the Strait of Gibraltar, at the crossroads between two continents.

These cultural activities allowed participants not only to discover the natural and historical treasures of our city, but also to connect them with the broader message of the project: that safeguarding our environment and heritage requires responsible choices, including reducing the impact of textile consumption.
